About

Small team, operator-first software.

FSMA204Hub is the first product from Darza Technologies — a two-person software studio that builds practical SaaS for niches that have been historically underserved by software.

Why food safety

Lana grew up around a family that ran a small regional food business. The FSMA 204 conversations we started hearing in 2025 weren't abstract — they were retailer buyers calling small producers and asking questions those producers weren't equipped to answer in the form the retailer wanted. The software that exists for this problem was built for food manufacturers with a full-time quality manager. It isn't priced, designed, or onboarded for the artisan creamery, the 6-person co-packer, or the meat processor shipping to a regional grocer.

FSMA204Hub is our attempt to fix that — retailer-ready lot traceability at a price a small producer can actually pay, designed so a non-technical operator can set it up in under 30 minutes.

The team

Co-founder · engineering & product

Anas Nakawa

Software engineer with a decade in product and platform work. Writes the code, ships the releases, and answers the support email. You'll see his name on every FSMA204Hub blog post that's written by a human (so far, all of them).

Co-founder · operations

Lana Juma

Runs customer conversations, partnerships, and the actual food-industry relationships that keep the product honest. The reason FSMA204Hub doesn't read like software-for-software's-sake is that every feature has been pressure-tested against a real producer's workflow before it shipped.

What we stand for

  • Operator-first. We'd rather ship a feature that takes 30 seconds to use than one that takes 30 seconds to explain.
  • Priced for the actual customer. $29/mo is a floor, not a starting anchor. We assume a producer doing $3M is not paying Salesforce prices to track lots.
  • Boring infrastructure. Postgres, Next.js, server-side rendering, no crypto. The value is in the product and the customer conversations, not the stack.
  • Honest scope. FSMA204Hub does one thing — lot traceability for FSMA 204. It will not become an ERP. When it's not the right tool for the job, we'll tell you.
